Sharad, Shahrukh and the Sena

Maratha Strongman Sharad Pawar and Badshah of Bollywoord Shahrukh Khan both are the talk of the nations for their relations with the Regional Party of Maharashtra- Shiv Sena.

Shiv Sena are criticizing Shahrukh Khan for his support to Pakistani Players playing in Pakistan. Shiv Sena has threatened to disrupt the screenig of Karan Johars movie "My Name is Khan" which has Shahrukh Khan in the lead role.

Sharad Pawar was also attacked by media and other parties including its ally Congress for meeting Bal Thackrey on the IPL issue. Shiv Sena has threatened to disrupt IPL matches if the IPL franchisee's play Australian Players in Mumbai. Shiv Sena is agitating over the attacks on Indian Students and Workers in Australia.

Shiv Sena was founded by Balasaheb Thackrey. His Son Uddhav Thackrey is presently the leader of this party. His Nephew Raj Thackrey split from Shiv Sena to form his own party the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.

Sharad Pawar is a very senior and reputed Politician. He started his politics with the Indian National Congress but left the party over the issue of foriegn nationality of Sonia Gandhi. He founded the Nationalist Congress Party and heads the party. He was the chief minister of Maharashtra. In the present UPA government he holds the portfolio of Union Agriculture Minister.

Shahrukh Khan is arguably the most popular Bollywood Celebrity all over the world. His latest relase which is under the sena attack is "My name is Khan". Shahrukh started his acting career from TV serials like fauji and Circus. He made his debut in Indian Cinema as a supporting actor in movie "Deewana". His first few film. most of them superhits all has Shahrukh playing a negative Character. Notable amongst them were Baazigar, Darr and Anjam. However he achieved stardom with his first block buster movie " Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge"

IPL , the Indian Primier League is the Indian 20-20 cricket league backed by BCCI. comming March 2010 will be the third season of IPL. The second IPL season was played in south Africa as it coincided with the Central Elections and had security issues. The Season one and two of IPL were won by Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers respectively. Mr. Lalit Modi is the IPL Director.
